12 x 16 giclee print on satin canvas mounted on 1/8” hardboard

This beautiful church is the Whitesville United Methodist Church, Whitesville, Georgia. This painting began as a small plein air painting on location south of LaGrange in Whitesville, GA. During my time on location I was overwhelmed with the serenity of this location. This church and the adjoining cemetery have quite a story to tell. The present day church building was built in 1854. I believe the church was founded in 1827.
